Hi all,
Found a rather nice Bulova from 1972 recently (N2, J353804), but I'm unsure about the model. It came in a Date King box (see picture), but it looks different from most Date Kings I know: the case is a bit squared, for example, and it has a display for the day of the week. Could use some Bulova wisdom: what do you think...?
Hi, Newbe here, I own a Bulova Snorkel 11AFACD 17 Jewels Swiss M3 Automatic 666 Feet watch.
Inside the cover is stamped MLB and 386 and M3.
Bulova wants $14.00 shipping charge to Canada for the gasket. IMO it's too much and rediculous.
I would like to buy some hands for my 1944 watch. Code RD, gold,10BS mvmnt, looks a lot like an air warden.
Case silver gilt, no plate wear. mvmnt. symbol puts year as 1943, case no. as 1944. Very dirty dial cleaned up well as did the case. Non-original strap is vintage circa 1940's.
Edit: 2013.03.13 Case dimensions added from Bobbee's comments in thread: The case size is: 26mm. dia. 34mm long. 14mm. lug gape.
Sorry all, I am new and trying to learn.
I am seeing several different jewel counts on these watches. What does the jewel count mean?
my watch is a 1965 23 jewels. what is the difference between 23 vs 17 or so on?
Thanks in advance
