Hi everyone!

My name is Jesse and I'm based in Sydney. This is my maiden post so hopefully I've done things right. I'm not a professional watchmaker but more of a part-time hobbyist and on my plate lately, I've got this Bulova 11 ALACD that has a missing winding stem and crown. Moreover, upon investigation have found one of the reversing wheel (i think that's what it's called) has a broken pivot. This works in tandem with another reversing wheel and are in charge of winding the mainspring in both directional swing of the oscillating weight.

Hi there,

I’m just wondering if anyone would know the measurements of the hour and minute hands of the gold dial ‘57 President G. I figure I’m not likely to find original parts on this one so if I can get an accurate length I might be able to find something really close. To the best of my limited knowledge they are black fils. Any help or advice would be more than welcome.

I'm looking for a NOS (preferred) or aftermarket crystal, or part # if no one has a crystal, for a Bulova Accutron 218 D, Case #2663. The crystal  measures exactly 29.65mm (according to my calipers). I've searched high and low for the part # with no luck.  Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks - Andy

The Apollo 15 Bulova Chronograph Watch

In February 2014, before the public knew of the existence of this watch, myBulova.com sent an email to the owner Dave Scott, requesting permission to release the first photograph of the Bulova chronograph wristwatch worn by Commander Scott during the Apollo 15 mission on the surface of the moon.

It was with great pleasure that on March 21 2014, myBulova.com was the first website in the world to publicly acknowledge the existence of this watch, the first and only Bulova watch to be worn by an astronaut on the surface of the moon.

Help finding part - double tooth hour wheel for 10CRACD

I'm brand new to the site. I also try and do very basic watch restoration for myself. But I'm certainly an amateur. I'm having a problem with a Bulova Self Winding 30 jewel watch I purchased sometime back. The minute and hour hands wouldn't move, but would advance while setting time. I figured the cannon pinion needed to be tightened. When I took the dial off, removed calendar parts, i tried to lift the hour wheel and the tube broke in half. It actually looked like someone tried to krimp it in the past or something.

10AK case

I bought a 10AK movement in a TK Co. replacement case, but the case and case back are trashed. I like the TK Co. dial, so I'd like to find a "new" TK case, or a Bulova case, if I can locate one that works with this movement/dial combination.

Thanks in advance.

Two piece stem

I read in a google search a discussion in this forum regarding how to separate a two piece stem without yanking it out but rather turning the stem backwards with the movement hanging. Worked like a charm.

Wondering IF there is an equally simple way to rejoin the parts when the time comes. Not sure how to query the archive.

Thanks.
