Snorkel "G" and "F" Crown and Winding Stem question.

I have two Bulova Snorkels a 1968 “G” https://mybulova.com/watches/1968-snorkel-11853 and a 1966 “F” that are going in for a movement service once I have all the parts needed to get them back to original. While in the shop and the watches are apart both crystals are being replaced with NOS #383-3AWD Crystals which I just purchased and have in hand. The 1968 Snorkel needs the crown replaced to original stock. The 1966 Snorkel needs a crown and winding stem.

11ANAC Winding Issues

I now have two 11ANAC movements where the winding train does not wind.  It is odd that two watches have the same issue.  No matter how I reset the gears the gears lock up.  It seems like all the pivots are good.   Any ideas?

1953 Cavalier 14k 10CSC stem removal question

Hello, I have a '53 cavalier that I have exceeded my abilities with. I needed to remove the stem. I reluctantly took a stab at it and THOUGHT my efforts were fruitless. I tried messing with what I believe was the screw that locked the stem in place. I didn't think I had a small enough screw driver and that my efforts were doing nothing at all. I decided against going any further and closed up the watch. When I tried to set the time, low and behold out pulls the stem.

Greetings:

Seeking words of wisdom regarding ' off set center wheel servicing '. I thought sweep second wheels were a challenge to understand until......I began dismantling my Dad's old Commander D ? with 10coac mvmt. From what I can surmise  it is a friction fit to be treated like a short canon pinion for disassembly etc. I am a bit stymied as to how to proceed. Any advice or experience would be bwelcome. Thanks.

Proper Mainspring Winder for Bulova 17AH

Hi,

I have several Bulova 17AH pocket watches which I am in the process of servicing and have ran into an issue trying to wind the mainspring.  None on my mainspring winders seem to work for this spring, the rod with the pin which is on the crank (not sure of the propper name) is either not the correct size to fit or the one which does fit has a long protrusion instead of a pin and it is too long to catch on the opening/hole on the mainspring.
