Here is another 1967 watch with a 1970 Gold plated movement just like the tentative Banker I posted. It is identical to the other Diamond Excellency series watches I have right down to the case number and real Diamonds on the dial, but as you can see the Dial is Green and it has no sub-second provision. I have seen a couple others like this on the bay, both with Gold Plated movements, and I believe Lisa has one just like it as well on her site. I first thought it might have been a movement swap like the Banker, but with this many out there, it has to be a case (no pun intended) of Bulova using up left-over cases by fitting them with newer movements. So this one and the Banker I just posted may be called something else in 1970...another Bulova mystery to solve... The neat display is a motion light or "rippler" style display that photos don't do justice to, the tiny specs of light that shows through the glass changes shape and color and looks like twinkling stars when it is on...Special thanks to bobbee for the Heads up on this great display!
