Dear Hertzgt20, a nice Lone Eagle you got there. Beautiful!

It’s certainly my favorite piece in the collection and will be worn as a dress watch, now I just need to find a few different straps that will make it look even better!

A Bulova classic. Bulova Lone Eagle is a good match.

Looks like the crown is a replacement. You should be able to source and original 10AN white crown.

Sorry my bad, I forgot the 1928s have a 9AT movement. It's a good question though and something I've never tried. I'll see if the stems are the same, in which case they might. I suspect you'll have an easier time sourcing a 10AN crown than a 9AT crown.

I was wondering if it’s normal that the movement has a double date stamp on the movement! This piece has the crescent moon with a shield stamped directly over the top

Double stampings certainly do occur and are typically a year apart (date code wise).

The stamp sitting with the cresent moon, looks a little weird and not typical of a 1929 shield. I'm wondering if it isn't a square (27) which would make more sense?

These corner-cut Lone Eagles were not manufactured in 1929 (that I'm aware of) so I can't see the movement having a 1929 date code stamp.

Any chance of a close up photo?
