Watch Description

I don't know much about this watch.  It has a very ornate dial and lugs.  Approximately 30mm case diameter.  Looks to be possibly gold plated.  I bought it on ebay in the late 90's.  I know nothing about it or its history.

Welcome and thanks for sharing. It's a real looker, unfortunately it's what we classify as Non-Conforming - being a mix of Bulova and non-Bulova parts. The movement and crown are 1955 Bulova, but the case and dial are jeweler replacements by a maker of generic replacement cases. Usually, the dial, case and hands came as a kit to rejuvenate a worn out or damaged watch.

No matter, it's a handsome watch - wear and enjoy it.

Hi JamesT. Those aftermarket re-casings usually came as a kit with the dial, front bezel and case back. Your kit was made by Elite watch case company. The dial on yours is not an original Bulova dial. It most likely came with the kit.
