No I am not Bob but I know him well enough to confidently assure you he's not stealing your case and you will get it back, When I can't say, but you haven't lost anything, With the mail as it is very long shipping time is not that surprising, just this mouth I sent a letter from Vegas to New York and it took 3 weeks to get there! Unbelievable!

My advice is to calm down, take a deep breath, and give it some more time, mark my words it will show up...

Man after this ordeal how are you ever going to trust someone to work on your watches again? that could make anyone a little gun shy...

Yeah, that is a follow-on question for later about my heirloom Accutron. I have the SAME question about a 1960's Wakmann worth more than the Accutron. Can't seem to find anyone in state or out of, that is reliable and reputable - and reasonably priced.

About Piker - I do not like it when someone lies to me about something 'being already mailed' when it's on HIS FLOOR ... for 2 weeks! That's not where a reliable vendor puts small packages, for mailing. Piker asked me if I had checked my mail - when he had not sent my package; organization and memory problems, there. And then, when he found it last Saturday and said he'd mail it, he did not include a mail-by date nor an apology for losing my package and accusing me of not checking my mail; non sequitur.

If he can't be responsible for small jobs (crystal replacement), he shouldn't be trusted for restorations. Will those end up on the backyard porch floor? He's now had 3 days to make it to the Normal, IL Post Office, 0.4 miles from his residence.

As I paid to have the package sent Insured (Priority) back to me, $15, as a customer you'd assume a responsible biz owner would act swiftly; if nothing more, to keep my future business as an Accutron owner - which he has definitely lost.

An understandable reaction to a bad experience...

Once you get everything back in one place if you can't find anyone that your willing to take a chance on feel free to hit me up because I believe I can help you with your watch...

I do like both the A-2 and A-3 look. Maybe if I cut the A-3 dial in half 12-6 o'clock and re-installed it, leaving the other movement half visible.

Nah - that would ruin things.

If you would like my opinion you should go with the black dial for this watch and then find yourself a nice factory-correct chapter ring spaceview since you do like them, I think that would be the way to go IMHO...

BTW, you asked me, so I'll ask...

What's your first name and your geo-location?

I'm sorry for all of the trouble, Mark. I don't usually do such small matters but thought I'd just put a crystal in for you, likely after talking on the phone, just to help you out. $65 for a crystal, gasket and shipping isn't much but i thought i would be helpful. When I packed up your case to return, although when i take one in i have a 3 to 4 week turnaround, I misplaced your contact info so just boxed up your case and put it beside me on the floor, thinking its owner would contact me soon and i'd get the contact info. You did contact me and by that time i had forgotten about your box on the floor. If it's boxed and on my floor it normally contains a full watch, which is why I didn't immediately associate your call for a case with that packge. It sat there for a week...not two. Ultiimately, when i realized it, not being able to find a shipping receipt (half a days project) I let you know and shipped it right away. I think covid is slowing things down because it was shipped on the 15th but tracking  still doesn't show delivered. I did ship it immediately and according to my notes I mailed much quicker than my usual 3 to 4 week turnaround, doing them in the order they are received. Once it does arrive, please know that i did my best and did sincerely think I had shipped it since I remembered packing it up. I wasn't fibbing, as you said. It's only a gold filled, common case which I have hundreds of so wouldn't think to try to steal it from you. I wouldn't do that to anyone. I simply had it beside me and forgot about it whilst doing all the other stuff I have to do with repairs daily. I'm human and only wish you could have been a bit more understanding as I was truly doing the best I can and simply forgot your box beside me on the floor, all boxed up and ready to go.

You should have received a tracking #, too, since I put your email in when i created the label. Anyone who ships onlline knows how that works, so you may have missed the email.
