Bulova Accutron Watches

In the 1960s, Bulova introduced tuning fork technology into their Accutron watches. Instead of a employing balance wheel, a tuning fork was used for the first time to control the watches timing mechanism. This improved timekeeping accuracy greatly and required no daily manual winding.

Millions of Bulova Accutron watches were sold from 1960 to 1977, in many various styles. A watch style defines the watch including the movement, case, dial and band.
