HA! Alan Sherman. I think I still have one of his albums.

Based on my review of the ads I'd go with EW based on the mount, case and face as I voted ealier. Otherwise, my opinion aside, "His Excellency" would be proper as well.

So that means you are voting for the "A" as well,Shawn. Same watch in two ads.

No, I'm going with the EW based on the leather strap mostly, A says Alligator strap.

Shawn,

I'm looking for the  difference but can't see it? I can read that the ad for the 'A' reads 'new dial design" or is it the Year of the ad itself?

It sure doesn't make sense that the "A" would be solid gold, based on how Bulova model naming and gold content/variant assignment is seen in both this and other models.  I can't find the "A" , as such, in the model lists.  I think it's one of those senarios where one of the generic HE's became the "A" after first year of production?  It sure looks like the "A" in this ad below has a three digit price, unless that first digit is a blurry dollar sign ($).  Bobbee is there another clearer ad for the "A" were we can read the price?

'A' states new Dial design, Alligator strap.

'EW' has no mention of either but 'looks' identical.

The first digit is a dollar sign.
The A is NOT solid gold.
The C is solid gold.
The A and EW are the same watch, in seperate ads.

Different Year ads was the 'notation' in a seperate thread, can We confirm the Years of the ads?

'Natural Gold' for the "C" does not indicate a solid Gold Case. Natural Gold indicates a Yellow Gold Case.
