Watch Description

I've searched the data base and the closest I can come is in the second page of the adverts' slide #10 but I can't make it out well enough to tell. It has a hinged case that say's Pat. Jan. 11 1927, Bulova 14K Gold Filled, New York. Case measures 26.75mmx26.75mm. The 9AT movement has a dust cover.

Senator with dial refinish. The dial looks too perfect not to be a refinish. The refinisher just took license with his work or didn't have a picture of the original IMO.

Take a look at the subject watch, it has a sunken sub second , if you look at the picture of the advert I don't see how that would fit in the small sub second dial that they show. Couldn't the subject watch be correct as to the dial and the person that drew the advert be incorrect?

Dennis  both are possibilities.  The ad appears as it did over 80 years ago, even if slightly incorrect or drawn w/ some variation.  The watch, however, has had over 80 years in which it could have changed slightly from original.  The case sure seems to match, and the dial is close.....

Hi William, Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate all you folks on the panel and everyone who gets involved in the discussions. I have spent many hours over the past two years reading everything (well most everything) you folks say about the watches and how you go about identifying them. It takes a lot of VOLUNTEER time for all of you.

Not the Senator. Senator in ad has a rectangular case, subject is square. Dials are totally different size and layout of sub-seconds dial is positioned differently.

Unk.

Yep...it says "rectangular case" right in the Senator ad text.  Back to the drawing board...

Agree that it is not a Senator for the same reasons.........still Unknown but still a great watch.

lol!

The subject Watch matches the advert Gentlemen.

Case, Movement and (almost) the Dial.

Owner states watch is square as evidenced by case dimensions.  Senator ad states "rectangular".
