14K 59 Diamonds
Hello friends!
I am Jan from California and so happy I found this site. I have a watch that was my mothers that I inherited many years ago. I have a couple questions-never a dumb question right?
17 jewels 14 K gold case, hands and Bulova name in gold
1) I have ascertained the watch is from 1947 and the movement is 5AB.
2) Can you tell me what the serial number on the bottom of the outside of the case is #3529
3Can you tell me what are the numbers on the inside of the case?

Found this very interesting 1949 video that explains wonderfully how a mechanical watch works....very cool!
1970 all steel Swiss Bulova 666ft divers chronograph with a manual wind. Movement is a Bulova caliber 14-EB ( Valjoux 7733) with 17 jewels. I'm looking restore this watch, starting with the correct bracelet. Does anyone know where I could find the original bracelet. Please look at the reference photo.
I am new to vintage watch collecting. I started collecting in spring of this year. So I have a lot to learn.
Could anyone explain the meaning of the letters after the model name to me. for example UU or N.
Thanks
Bob
I have a gold-tone men's Bulova. It is self-winding, 23 jewels, six adjustments. The face does not have numerals and there is a sort of starburst design over the entire face. Has a second hand. Stainless steel back, shock resistant, water proof and anti-magnetic. It has a nice Speidel gold tone stretch band. The watch belonged to my mom's cousin and I don't know anything else about it. It is not running and the repair quote I recently got was for $300. It's a handsome watch, but I'm thinking that the repair bill is more than it is worth.
Came across this yesterday and wondered if Bulova know something we don't or have only speculated about for many years....what watch was Charles Lindbergh wearing on his historic flight from New York to Paris.
Was it a Bulova like this ad suggests or was it a Longines like many believe.
