1949 Aeronaut with BLACK dial?

I recently saw a 1949 Aeronaut 17J, 8AE with a black dial on ebay. It was listed as Vintage Bulova A9 Men's Wristwatch (view in completed auctions).

I saw three 1949 Aeronauts here on the site, but all three, including any adverts. showed a WHITE dial.  I believe the one on the ebay auction was a newer, black re-dial.

My question is....did Bulova ever make a BLACK dialed '49 Aeronaut?

Thanks,

Dennis

A movie cameo!

My wife and I went to see "Ford v Ferrari" yesterday—a very good movie about Ford, race car designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale) trying to win at Le Mans in the mid-'60s. The guy at Ford who gets things going, at least in the movie, is Lee Iacocca, and though I got just a glimpse of it, I saw right away what watch he was wearing: an Accutron 214. And it makes perfect sense that the go-getter, forward-thinking guy at Ford would be wearing that watch at that time.

Off set center wheel peril.

Greetings:

Seeking words of wisdom regarding ' off set center wheel servicing '. I thought sweep second wheels were a challenge to understand until......I began dismantling my Dad's old Commander D ? with 10coac mvmt. From what I can surmise  it is a friction fit to be treated like a short canon pinion for disassembly etc. I am a bit stymied as to how to proceed. Any advice or experience would be bwelcome. Thanks.
