Watch Description

Purchased this watch from the States about 6 weeks ago - 10k RGP - musical note like lugs. I had the back off  and there was a retainer to hold the movement tight in the case. This was spring like and it was a devil of a job to get back - I forgot to make a note of the movement number.  I don 't feel inclined to have another look!

Watch Description

The BULOVA "GRAMATAN," Circa 1950. Perhaps the namesake originated in Mt. Vernon, New York?

"The original off white dial shows a little ageing, but as you can see from the photos, it's rather minimal. Embossed gold Arabic hour markers and black minute track. The gold hands are in excellent condition, sub second dial at six. Fancy lugs 10k gold filled case in superb condition, no gold loss or damage of any kind. 8AC 17 jewel movement. Dimensions: 23mm excluding crown: 34mm lug to lug." This superb and scarce to rare watch, is currently available at the link, hereafter:

BEST :-)  Scott

Oval faced Bulova

Unfortunately, I am unable to upload a pic now, but here is the description:

10k gold filled case, with 5 diamonds at each corner, case is 1-3/32 square, 1" between lugs, bezel is fine check finish, not smooth; face has diamond at 12, 3, 6 and 9.  Face is oval, 7/8" high, by 1" across; hands are gold fancy filligree style; crown is bulova; on the back is M4 (1964, I think), 10Kgold filled, across from that is the number H214845;  The movement appears to be a cheaper type (3 jewel) with the number 10BZC, and Bulova USA on the plate.

Dior anyone?

In the early 70's Christian Dior, a well known fashion designer, designed a limited edition line of watches for Bulova. I've searched the net and written docmentation concurs that the event did indeed take place, but images a few and far between. I recently had opportunity to aquire a 'Bulova Dior' and did so, a  ladies version with the intent to restore and sell, we shall see as I haven't found it in Me to sell one of the watches I've purchased, restored to date. This one may be easier to let go, matching shoes could be an issue.
