Purchased from Ebay on Nov. 14, 2010.  I've seen one on here as an unknown, but no others. 

It's date stamped as a 1940 and the case is very similar to my square 1940 Surgeon.

21 jewel, 10AX movement

Case measures 40mm lug to lug x 21mm wide non inclusive of the Crown using Calipers.

Original Rose Dial with White and Silver trim shows Black printed Arabic numerals, tracks and Bulova signature.

Hour and Minute Hands are Modern style and a Modern style Seconds Hand shows on a sub Dial fully obscuring the 6.

Caseback is Stainless Steel and is stamped as shown.

10AX 21j  USA - keeps excellent time.

Inside the back of the dial the watch reads:

 The serial number reads:
 9138671
 Below the serial number there is an etched or hand signed mark thats reads:
j/35 followed by what looks like a D and a heart??....

Inherited from my father. Purchased for him by my mother as a wedding gift in 1976. I know little other than it is purposrted to be solid gold 218* series Accutron.

 Leather strap. Would appreciate feedback on history & current market value.
