Purchased this watch from the States about 6 weeks ago - 10k RGP - musical note like lugs. I had the back off and there was a retainer to hold the movement tight in the case. This was spring like and it was a devil of a job to get back - I forgot to make a note of the movement number. I don 't feel inclined to have another look!

Mark,
Yah... what's up with the "herd instinct," on eBay?!? You see nada for months at a time (from non watch resale specialists) then voilla! (Another one+) But you would think they'd at least take the time to copy the info, vs. just seeing one sell and then haphazardly listing a like model? (And be wise enough to wait a month, THEN LIST IT... after NONE are/have been up, for awhile!? LIKE DAH...)

Scott,
I've watched (no pun inteded) a LOT of old Bulova's on ebay. Key words for the majority of resellers seem to be 'Vintage' and 'Curvex', both crowd pleasers - The only resellers I have seen use the actual model names are Shaun and Gary.
I think You outsniped Me on a lot of Glass last evening My friend, I owe You one.

Noel,
I know... It took me a year+ to get Shawn to start using "names and nos." to his ADVANTAGE... And Gary was unto that sooner, likely as Shawm and I were doing so, already??? And in general... whatever is proven to WORK for Shawn, etc... Gary and others tend to use, once proven, I think!?
It's GOOD to use "Vintage..." but the OVER use of "Curvex," etc. shows EITHER ignorance... or (mainly) intentional MIS use for keyword advantage, etc... (However the use of Curvex is both overrated, and (more often than not) makes the seller look and sound like an IDIOT, or untrustworthy... unless they are someone like Shawn, or Gary... who OTHERWISE are far more knowledgeable, detailed and UPFRONT... that the "monkey see/do" herd!

P.S. HMMM... IT MAY ALSO BE, THE "REGIS!?" (I forget WHY I rather thought, "Harrington?")
1955 & 60 G-S catalogs: "Ivanhoe" = CMX324-6C (Compound Curvature!)
1957 & 60 SUC catalogs: "Ivanhoe" = RMS124-26 (Compound Curved or Flat Top...)
1957 & 60 SUCs: "Harrington" = RMS124-27B
1957 Federal lists BOTH the REGIS and HARRINGTON, as taking the "MX8-214 x 187 (Dual Bevels, lengthwise... like the "EXCELLENCY SS," etc. (And it CURVES LENGTHWISE, ONLY...)
AND... the various crystal Catalogs mention the "Harrington " as BOTH single and compound curves!? I believe that only the IVANHOE crystals curve BOTH ways, ON the bezel... (i.e. against the metal...)
