1951 Caprice "A" for me.

I can only find the Dulcie in 1951/52 on newspapers and Caprice in 52/53.  So I thought maybe this is a name change to Caprice in 52 but in the 1953 price guide they have different model numbers, with Dulcie being in the accumulated section.  Where the Academy Award "OO" and "PP" change to Martha Washington "A" and "B" with the same model numbers.  They are the same price at $55 and the ad pic seem almost identical.  So do we have a Dulcie in 51/52 and Caprice "A" in late 52 and 53?  The bands also change.

This is really interesting! Maybe the name change came with a bracelet change in 52 from the Dulcie to the Caprice?

Has anyone ever seen Dulcie and Caprice in the same room (advert)...?

Yes that is a possiblity.  I did not find an ad with both of them on it, that would be really helpful wouldn't it!  I could go either way on this one.

To further muddy the water here is a 1951 ad with Caprice in it.  So because they have different model numbers and there is not an overlap in 1951 I am going to go with the one ad that clearly shows it is a match with Caprice.

I haven't looked at many of these, but I'm still convinced it's a Dulcie based on "paw" design and the identical bracelet shown in the ads. Something about those paws in the Caprice ads seems just a little off to me.

My take after looking at all the ads is Dulcie "paw" appears to show 3 "toes" and Caprice ads show 5. Ad bracelet for Dulcie also appears slightly different from one on subject watch, but it may just be "artistic interpretation"
