Something I just noticed. The case has M4 but the Movement has M5 - so I guess it has to be a 1965 watch? Also it has a "65" stamped on the inside cover but what is the number "2249" about?
Should I set my watch's page Movement Date Code from M4 to M5? Also what/where is the Movement's Serial number?
well I am bummed, I got the watch back today from its outer cleaning and engraving. Though I am told it won't stay running from the jeweler. I didn't notice this problem when it arrived in the mail since I didn't have it long before I dropped it off to the jeweler in Austin. I was going to send it in for a checkout, deep cleaning, and adjustment anyways but didn't think I'd have to do it right after giving it as a birthday gift. I suppose them's the breaks!
Here's the engraving I had done and as suggested I had my daughter's B-day for 2023 engraved too. You might be able to tell how clean it is, the hollow bits for the band had all this white stuff caked inside it (I was thinking it was dried up cleaning paste).

Thanks!
I got the case in and matched it up to the watch. I do understand this is a 50s case but I just love the looks of it. I think the watch and case look wonderful paired together and it's the cherry on the top. I am hoping my daughter loves it and is totally surprised!
