New member here, looking for case reference 2661 Accutron Pulsation
Hi guys! New member here, thank you for the opportunity to be part of the forum.
I was attracted to a particular model being a medic myself previously for this model. I managed to get the dial and movement ( not tested yet as the battery 344 is not available here) i was wandering if anyone can point me to where i can get the case to house it? Many thanks in advance!

The Vintage Accutron
The Vintage Accutron
"I feel now after a decade of vintage timepiece restoration and service on Accutron's, I can finally put to rest some of the crazy rumors and fallacies about these wonderful timepieces." I'm sure you have noticed the new swiss Bulova's with the Accutron logo. There is very little in common with a 214 and 218 Tuning Fork Movements. Bulova has opted for more a conventional and modern manual or automatic movement and their new Tuning Fork movements is a refined more modern approach to vintage Accutron's.
Restoration when is it too far or not far enough
Hi folks, thanks for adding me to the group. My question is;
When restoring these 1940's and '50's time pieces, when is it detrimental to the restoration, ie, should the case be left alone if it is in need of replating, or should a dial be left alone?
I have a number of quite rare pieces that I have recently serviced, including replacing a balance staff and getting the movement to work with only 0.3ms beat error.
Any help, views or advice would be most welcome.
Mil-W-3818A
I am in need of a caseback for a Vietnam War issue Bulova Mil-W-3818A. I have the watch but just need the correct caseback. If anyone has a spare and is willing to part with it, I'd appreciate it.
Accuquartz LCD 226 (mod. 2260) LCD display
Hello everyone, I've recently acquired a Bulova Accuquartz 226, the forgotten LCD counterpart of the 228 "Big Block" LED watch. From the little (if almost non existent) material I found on the internet, it seems to be quite rare. Mine -miraculously- works but it needs a new LCD panel, as the one on my watch fades to black after a couple of minutes I wear it on the wrist.
I'd be very grateful if anyone of you has the part I'm looking for. :)
Accutron 214 crystal replacement
Hi,
I have an Accutron 214, model # 203, from 1960. It has the football shape 14k inlays, but also has a cracked crystal.
It seems this this model never had an official Bulova case number, and so the Bulova catalog does not show what crystal it uses.
I measured the crystal as 28.5 mm diameter. I was planning to get a G&S PHD25 "high dome" to try, but I see that there is also an, "extra high dome", available.
Has anyone done this before, or know what the recommend crystal is?
How To List A Watch For Sale?
Hi all, I have decided to part with a few of my vintage Accutrons and would like to list them for sale on the forum. Unfortunately, I have not figured out how to do that. Can anyone with experience direct me and provide the steps for doing so? Thanks in advance for the help!
1946 Bulova
I found a 1946 Bulova that is for sale. It has a round face with a second hand at the bottom. It looks nice but the back is engraved from the giver to the receiver on 12/25/46. Would this affect the value? I really don’t know if it is a good price or not. If it is not breaking any rules could someone let me know a high and low price range? I am not asking for a “value” just don’t want to get “taken”. 🙂 Thank you!
