I'm not an expert, this was my grandma's watch. According to the date chart it was bought in 1973 and it has a french day dial (SAM stands for Samedi = Saturday). Pretty weird, because I'm living in Italy and the watch has been bought here.
This one has me a little stumped.
The watch Geoff referenced is certainly the same watch, however looking at that ID I'm not sure where the Senator ID came from. It could be correct.
A number of 1973/74 Lines books show the watches in the 'Senator' series as all having a gold bezel ring surrounding the crystal.
The 11635-0W looks like an exact match visually, but is listed as having a 17 jewelled movement. For reference the yellow gold version is 12621-9Y
The Senator "F" which I think may have been the basis of Geoffs ID, does have a 23 jewelled movement, but has the addition of that gold bezel ring as well as different hour markers. Also I think the case is slightly different.
Maybe someone else can find a better match or make sense of this.
I'm at Unknown for now.

I'm a professional bike mechanic, so this is not my world at all. But I can tell, even if back in the days most of bike brands had specific models on their catalogues, there were many custom made frames and bike parts based on the original ones upon customer request.
So, could this be a Senator custom version with the 23 jewels movement from the Senator F and a french day/date dial? Was it even possible to have a custom watch at that time?

There are two possibilities as I see it.
- we have yet to find the correct model ID for this watch
- the movemet has been swapped for a 23 jewelled movement
theoctavedoctor on the inside backcase there should be a numbered stamp. Can you please advise what that is so I can at least confirm if the movement is the correct type for the case.
