Just acquired this little beauty. I love the unique hexagon case and black dial. The case I believe has a symbol before the numbers 503687. I’m not sure if it’s another 5 or just a symbol, so please let me know. Based on an add posted by Kathy L I am hoping this will be classified as a 1936 Virginia. The crystal is a bit scratched up but the watch is keeping great time. I’m not to keen on the band and would have loved the one seen in the ad, but what can you do.
Nice one, love the shape. Movement has a square stamp, that would indicate 1936. It appears that the "symbol" in front of the serial number is a worn "6". That would be in line with a date of 1936, the same as the movement.
I'm going to say, the original band is likely as rare as hen's teeth. You never know, keep an eye on ebay. You may find a parts watch with the original band or a loose one cheap if the seller can't identify it
