Hi all I've just received this nice little watch, but im having difficulty in identifying it. I think it may be a Clinton but the ones on the site have different movements to the one i have also there seems to be a number of differing names for this case depending on the year of manufacture. I would greatly appreciate any help members could give me in determining which model it actually is. It is a nice clean watch running well and with very little patina on the dial. It came complete with a genuine bulova brown leather strap which i think is of the same vintage as the watch . Crystal is glass The case is yellow Gold plated marked 10k rolled gold plate and the serial number is 9406888
Kind regards to all donegd

I'm good with 1949 Chief; we have three ads from 1949 that appear identical to the subject watch, a Chief, a Clinton, and an Amer Clipper. I notice a slightly larger 12 on the dial for both Chief and Clinton ads and on subj watch; I am not sure I see this with the Am Clipper Ad. The seconds track area shows some differences for these 1949 ads; the Chief has numerals, as does the subj watch. The other two ads do not have the numerals (however a Clinton ad from 1947 has the numerals). This may be minor and just omitted by the artist; but these three are just so identical, it is hard to find any differences.
Hi All
I have just recieved the another one of this model. This one is marked 46 and the movement is a 17j 8AH. the serial number is 6442002. As this is a 1946 model am I correct in assuming this will be a Kickerbocker. ?
It is identical to the other watch above except for the movement and date mark.
I intend to keep this one and sell the other one as the dial is in a much better condition
regards to all.
George
Hi George. Please enter the '46 in the new watch database if you have time/desire. The more examples of this multi-named/advertised watch the better.
For this one here, I'm good with 1949 Chief, but would go two ticks tentative, as there's lots of "noise" in this watch ID.
