1956 Bulova "23".  Aftermarket seconds hand.  I had a question regarding the word "bezel" on these ... is it talking about the entire case or just the wavy part around the crystal ( which is what I consider the bezel )?  I'm asking because the yellow versions I've seen , say the bezel is rolled gold, yet the entire case is yellow.  Thanks!  ---

This one threw me at first.  No Date stamp anywhere on this guy.  A weird back not branded on the outside, but does have a stamp on the inside caseback.

I see at least one other example od the word caseback.  I'm going to-date this early 1954, the first year thr Bulova 23 came out.  As it's stainless sporting a black dial are we looking at the "Bulova 23 A"?

Watch Description

I recently found this stored among my great grandfathers possessions. With it was another family member's Squadron "A" and a Westclox Wrist Ben Style 3. This one still runs strong but the stem is severely stuck in place. It has sat in a box since probably 1975..

Based on other posted watches this looks to be a Bulova 23? The numerals were very difficult to photograph but I'm almost positive it reads "L6" under the serial number (the scratch on the back didn't help). Where is the movement serial number located?

Black textured dial, square and dart indices, and a scalloped bezel is characteristic of the Bulova 23 “A”. Also verified by the multiple other examples and the linebook entry on this model.
