Hey Guys, I need some advice.

I have a WWII ORD Dept Watch missing a Minute Hand. I found N.O.S. Hands that appear identical but are for the Hamilton 987A

assuming the U.S. ORD Dept mandated the Hand design shared by all Watch manufacturers be identical in the given spec. order (Hands outsourced perhaps??)  I have a question.

What is this 1930 beauty and what dial/hands should it have?

Firstly some muppet mutalated this beauty by putting on a cruddy non fitting fake diamond dial that is rubbish. Am I right in thinking it should have a silver dial with the radium style numbers and pierced luminous hands? Secondly anyone got either or both going spare they want to sell, thirdly what model is it? It runs a 1930 10an movement. Not the best of photos as taken quickly but you get the idea.......Thanks, GP .

Help for out of control watch addiction?

I've been buying so many watches lately, I'm starting to think I need counseling.  Is there a group for watch addicts?  Watch Addicts Anonymous?

Seriously, please share any strategies that you use to control/limit buying.   Auction sites seem to have an endless supply of rare models, or ones that I don't have, or have never seen, so any such criteria alone is insufficient.  Do you set limits for yourself, either by dollar or number of watches, maybe within a set time period?

Admiral?

The case looks identical to the Admiral which shows in the 1940 ads as white dial and 17 jewel movement. This one black dial with 21 jewel 7AP.

Any clues??
