Hi
Pls advise what the 3-853139 is if its not the case reference number. This number is inscribed (all be it very faintly) on the "wearing side" of the back of the watch removable case (2nd image)

Dune,

3-853139 stamped on the Caseback exterior is the Serial number.

Ah...."seek and ye shall find", isn't that exactly what we do here?

Accuquartz Centenary

I'm beginning to see the beauty, from an historical perspective

Undate case and 1964 dated movement, but the ad pretty much nails this down to a 1975 Accuquartz Centenary model.

The panel votes on the model ID name, and we "publish" the watch as per the vote.  Panel members are situated around the globe, and have various time commitments- so it takes a while for the ID to be published.  It's in the works now.
I'm trying to contact the person who posted the original ad on WatchesUSeek to see if they possibly have a higher resolution version of ad which is legible.

The movement is dated N4 Will, they didn't make a 218 until 1965
