I picked this up for $1 at an estate sale and would like to know a little more about it if possible. I know nothing about vintage watches & the little research I've done it looks as though this could be fake since there is no Bulova logo on the dial? In case you can't see the pics well, the back shows Bulova, M1 for 1961, Stainless Steel Back, 10 kt RGR Bezel, Anti-Magnetic, Water Proof, & Patent #2,913,869. It is in pretty rough shape & I wasn't able to remove the back. Is this even a genuine Bulova & if so can anyone identify it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi harris2033, welcome to myBulova. No doubt it's a Bulova case but it's tricky to ID without dial markings and movement information. I think the movement comes out of the front of the case on this one ( don't try it if you're not sure what you're doing). President model had a similar case and I think Sea King did too. With the information we have, I'm not sure I could ID this one.
For now...Unknown.
Thank you everyone for your insight, I really appreciate it! I didn't mean to mark it "Not for sale" when posting, so if anyone is interested then please let me know & I can get more detailed pictures to you. I'm not sure if it's worth anything considering the condition it's in, but I'd much rather have it in the hands of a collector who may appreciate it.
Thanks.
Harris
