Watch Description

My Dad recently died and left a drawer full of watches.  One is of interest.  On the back is marked... 10K ROLLED GOLD PLATE BULOVA L3 I understand L3 means 1953. and at the bottom are the numbers... 7137011  I have looked carefully at the 1953 watch images on this site ( Bulova were busy watch makers! ) and i cannot find it, though the Hadley has a somewhat similiar face.  I do not know how to open a watch to see any internal markings.  Any suggestions on the model or value?  It keeps time, including the small second hand, but needs to be wound every day or two.

I'm just wondering....if subject watch has 21 jewels (like my unknown 1953 under panel review), and Ambassadors changed from 21 jewel up through 1952 to 17 jewels beginning 1953.... could both the subject watch and my unknown w/ 21 jewels be a currently Unknown model in 1953.  Perhaps that's one point Bobbee was arguing earlier in this thread?

I second Will's statement because mine makes the third example of this watch.

Discussion and evidence to the contrary appear to be pointless when we "think" it could be an Ambassador.

Beggars belief.
