Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you ....The Bulova "Marlboro" - wouldn't have believed it myself until I found the hang tag in the (original) display case (hmmmm, I wonder what this string is for - I pulled on it, and.....O M G - MARLBORO?). I wonder if the Marlboro Man wore this model? Incredible condition, incredible case design, AND engraved! L0 Case / L1 Movement. Yellow gold with stainless back.

I doubt it was related to the cigarette, read the following:The Marlboro Man is a figure used in tobacco advertising campaign for Marlboro cigarettes. In the United States, where the campaign originated, it was used from 1954 to 1999. The Marlboro Man was first conceived by Leo Burnett in 1954. The image involves a rugged cowboy or cowboys, in nature with only a cigarette. The advertisements were originally conceived as a way to popularize filtered cigarettes, which at the time were considered feminine. This came from WIKIPEDIA?
Hey All, add another to the bucket of worms.
Let's not get too excited here. A hang tag in a Bulova display box just doesn't work for me unless the watch was NOS with the outer cardboard box, guarantee etc and purchased from the closed watch shop directly. This watch is not NOS by any means and could have easily found it's way into any Bulova display box the seller had. I've certainly got to question the 51 movement in a 50 case. I've seen it go the other way, earlier movement and later case but never later movement in an earlier case.
I've just purchased a 1950 Spiegal's cat, so let's cross of fingers this is there when it comes.
We see the model name associated with the model nuumber and gold color in a few of the earlier Bulova Price lists- matching the hang tag in Geoff's beauty!
I think we also have crystal specs that are pretty unique and named "Marlboro" somewhere...I gotta go look.
I'm certainly in agreement with Marlboro for this great watch!!
