Watch Description

I bought this one from a Canadian seller, not knowing if it was legit, or a frankenbully. Now that it is in my hand, I have no doubt it's real. Copper face and rose gold casing. Both case back and movement are dated L0. Case back marked -  Bulova Quality  -  L0  -  2717217

It came to me with the last links of a rose gold band attached, I suspect they may be original. Case back interior is blank. Movement has no import code. This would seem to be a Canadian version of the Kirkwood in rose gold..I have never seen another. This was another "what the heck is that?" purchase.......

I am good to go with Kirkwood based on the case if/when an ad comes up for a rose gold variant or different model name we could change it then?

Could the other panel member please review this watch and offer their opinion. I'm inclined to ID as a Kirkwood, based on the distinctive case and matching year of production.

To help my "Kirkwood' ID cause, here is an example of a late 1940s Bulova President that demonstrates how this type of dial can be used as a variant in known models.

Without any evidence to support the dial variation, we could just as easily be looking at a marriage here. One thing Bulova never seemed short of was model names. I have to say unknown on this one. For now.

It's not a marriage of the President dial, that is longer and the BULOVA is positioned differently.

The dial proportions seems correct for this case.

I think Kirkwood... Some sort of variant letter, but Kirkwood.
