Estate sale find 12/1/18 in San Diego. Home of a veteran of WW2. He had many other items of the WW2 period. Runs perfectly had a replacement nylon strap (removed in pictures). Missing second hand. Crystal original but had been reglued (poorly). 10AX movement asterick year mark. Very clean. No watch maker service marks/dates in case. I believe it to be a 1941 Lietenant but the dial is odd. I'm unable to match the second index to the ads. No box around index seconds.
Welcome to mybulova, Your watch is a
1941 Bulova Ranger case and likely movement as well,
with what appears to be a replacement face. I don't regognise the face as coming from another Bulova model, but I am not an expert. The round seconds track is odd and minute track should follow the shape of the case opening. It appears it may be a third party produced dial made prior to Bulova cracking down on Bulova marked "replicas"; after which point most were marked "Bulova Movement".
This configuration of parts may fall into the catagory of "non-conforming", or "Ranger" noting replaced dial.
It's nice, by the way. I love the lugs on these.
Hello and welcome to myBulova! Very nice watch. It looks like your watch is a Ranger with a refinished dial. The dial minute hand does not match the case shape exactly as it should and the second hand track is different as well as neetstuf-4-u pointed out.
