Not clear on manufacture year. This was my mother’s watch so guessing between 1930s-1940s.

Thank you Geoff for your response. This is the same jeweler who told me they were diamond chips! I guess it’s time to educate the jeweler. Hahaha

Question: After he evaluated the watch (chips in Stainless), did he offer to take it off your hands? :o)

Hahaha, as a matter of fact it was a she and she didn’t. At first I thought it wasn’t working. She pulled out the stem, like you would to set the time, and told me it needed a new stem. Repair would cost more than value. 
So basically everything she told me was incorrect.
