Hello,
New to the forum, but not to Bulova watches, I've owned (and still own) several over the years. I am glad I found this site, it appears if I can't find info here....I may as well hang it up!!!
I picked up a box of "stuff" at an estate sale, and finally had a chance to go thru it all. In it was what appears to be a ladies Caravelle dive watch. I don't have a picture right at the moment, but will post one soon. It is stainless steel, mechanical, bezel does not appear to be uni-directional, but then again the ratchet could be broken, band is dark grey leather, overall the condition is good, crystal has some scratches, but nothing deep, and it winds kind of tight, it does run quite well though. Date code is N9 (1979) and it measures approx 30mm lug to lug, I tried some web research, but the closest I could find was a mens Bulova Caravelle Bond Nato watch, which is spot on looks wise. (maybe this is a smallish mens watch?)
If anyone has an idea to help me out with my research, I would greatly appreciate it, I would really like to know if what I have is worth investing in having restored.
Hello johnpaulh , Welcome to the site. Just wanted to give you a heads up. As a group we have decided not to post photos of the Caravell brand. Don't want to appear snobbish but we just figured we have enough on our hands just dealing with the Bulova brand. :)

Bob,
Sounds fair....and understandable considering the gazillion and one models out there!
Can you or another member perhaps point me in the right direction for finding some ID on this watch? I would like to know if it is worth putting the money into restoration.
Thanks,
John
Hi John
You might want to try the NAWCC forums. One can read w/o posting even if they are not a member. There are some other vintage watch discussion sites too. try TimeZone at http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=5991055&rid=0
Good luck. Will
