I did some digging on EPSA, the company who made these cases for a multitude of manufacturers, (Omega not the least among them) and they had quite a few designations:
Beach, Dive, Marine, Rain, Scaphandre, Sea, and Stop. No luck finding any of the actual patents for some reason.
I'm guessing this is a pretty interesting and possibly unique crystal, it has to accomodate the rotating inner bezel.
