Welcome to mybulova! Your watch looks to be a His Excellency,  like this one. The date code on the movement is a triangle (1945), which indicates the movement was replaced at some point. It's not that uncommon, like a much loved car having the motor replaced with another used one.

1950 His Excellency "SS", noting replaced movement.

Welcome to MyBulova.  1950 His Excellency with a replaced movement is a good match.  I guess you could call it a new OLD motor since the movement is an earlier model than the watch.  I think by 1950 the movement would have been a 7AP.  It is also interesting in that the movement has both a triangle and a circle date code.  Every so often we see a movement with two date codes.
