HEY... Nice one, Gary! I much prefer the two and three tone (color) dial variants, myself... And grey and black is very handsome, indeed :-) I may have been outbid by you on this one, some time ago??? LOL... If I have any extra crystals for this beauty, I'll soon post them on eBay and credit you, as par :-)
This style is akin to the Bulova Presidents and also reminds me of the Hamilton Sutton, of the time... However with a distinctively masculine and more sophisticated dial "look," I think? It must have been a really GOOD seller, back in 1939/40!?
