my uncle's watch, 1947 Clinton?

Submitted by WillRockwell on April 11, 2012 - 7:20am

My uncle left me this beautiful watch 24 years ago, and it has been in my dresser drawer ever since. It works fine, and I would like to learn the age and model. On the back it says 10k rolled gold plate, and the serial number is 4495152. Based on research I did using your excellent links, I suspect this is a 1947 Clinton. Does anyone concur?

Help With Identification

It looks like the 1958 model but there is a star on the back that is not on the one I saw. It also has a very old stretch band , stainless steel from hong kong that looks as old as the watch. I don't know how to open it but it has a number on the back , C657287 and L7 under that. Don't know if it is gold or gold tone, it's been around but works great!!

Please don't delete , figured the pic thing out but need to make it smaller. thanks!

White Gold Lot

Picked up this lot from the same seller as the Physician I got... just a few minutes after.

Very nice lot I think.  I'm happy with it though I paid top of my snipe.  Should clean up well.

Looks like a Statesmen, a His Excellency, an some old 20's watch, and I dunno what that non-conforming dial second from the left is?

1965 (?) Bulova Watch ~ Appreciate Help In Identifying

Submitted by Susy on April 4, 2012 - 5:02pm

Hello!  My mother gave me some odds and ends of watches that belonged to my grandparents.  This watch was one of them.  I have searched and searched for information as to what the name or model of it might be.  I was able to learn the date as being 1965 from the M5 on the back.  I am unable to open it from the back ~ after doing some research I understand the crystal needs to be removed to "see what's inside"!  I took it to a jeweler and the young man who helped me said that it would run about $125.00 to replace the crystal and repair it

Shows L0 on the back.  I thought initially at the first it was a His Excellency SS... but the corners are off.  I've seen it before but I dunno.

I must say I'm pretty stoked about how clean and wear free that case looks.
