Hello, I bought this watch at an auction some time ago because I liked the style of it. Now I need help to identify it. Thanks in advance. Paul.
Can you confirm date codes on movement and case back? They appear to be "N4" which would be 1974. If you can verify date code and case color, it's one of these as listed in the 1974 Linebooks.

Hi Paul - Bulova was in the business of mass producing consumer products, they made thousands and thousands of watches for most of the last one hundred years. While there are some watches that don't show their faces (pun intended) here very often, I'm slow to say that very many Bulova watches are truly 'rare'. However, no 50 year old watch that still works should be considered common. It's UNUSUAL to find them at this age in this condition but maybe not rare. It appears to have been well cared for and the fact that it still works is a testament to Bulova quality. As always we recommend a professional service every 3-5 years if you plan to wear it.
Congratulations on a nice find!
