Hello i found this near mint, 1971 Bulova ladies yesterday at a flea market..i don't think this watch was ever really worn...I bought it for a very nice price, $8 ,which if it wasn't a sea king i probably wouldn't have bought it.... The watch is running and running strong, three winds and it started right up.,today i moved it around it started ticking...after a good polish,crystal, and a service on the movement,it will put this little sea king(or should it be queen???) top shelf....the movt. is 6CLC 17 jewels...i am not sure about the band being original,since the band is made in Hong Kong.the crown is signed on this watch too..Where they making bands for these watches,in Asia???? maybe by the 70s they were...I didn't have time to check the ads,but if i find out before someone else does..i'll let you know.the back has no dents,just some glue from a price sticker..the watch will be for sale after i service it,if anyone wants one for their wife, or wants to a gents and ladies pair.....Anyway here are the pics...

I think Will is eluding to the fact that Case dimensions not only help with an ID now but in the future. Case dimensions should be a mandatory field.
The early thru mid 1960's show the 'LADY BULOVA' to be selfwinding. The Whale insignia on the dial indicates waterproof.

right 5th, i understand, thing is that i put these watches up because it is interesting and i figure you would like to see a different model...if i don't have a ruler or the watch itself near by at the time of post i usually don't have the time to get it....i was more concerned of posting the pics......
And I appreciate it. By the way, FYI, there is a hair spring kit for Bulova watches. It is called a balance wheel complete, meaning it has the hair spring attached and all you have to do it attach the other end of the hair spring to the balance cock and you are good to go. They are great, I have purchased about a half a dozen so far and they have cost between $8.00 and $12.00 per unit.

right i know about a balance complete, why did you bring that up.....Also is the whale only waterproof or is it a sea king,,because everyone i see with the whale was a sea king...if the watch is just waterproof ,it simply says that.....the watches in the ads from the same era all say waterproof,unless if it is a sea king,then it has the whale.....
