Watch Description

Recently bought this Bulova 23 and it runs well. I've never seen a black dial on this model. The silver dial numbers seem to have a sheen around them and I'm wondering why. Maybe they were stuck on and the glue leaked? No idea. I believe this to be the "AW" movement but I could be wrong. Crystal needs replacement and i find the band hideous. Any idea what mm band I can replace it with? I think originally it also came with a metal band similar to this one but this one isn't original.

Nice linebook match Ken. I agree with a 1964 Bulova Regatta "HW" (black dial version of the "AW")

Based on the corrosion on the hands, I am going to speculate the the halos around the indices are dial finish damage caused by moisture intrusion between the case and crystal at some point in the last 60 years.

1964 Bulova Regatta 23 HW is a good match. You can measure the existing band to determine what the width should be for a new one.

So... xD The Bulova shop in my city quoted me €800 euros to replace the crystal. A bit crazy if you ask me... Any chance anyone can help me in finding one online? Thanks!
