Watch Description

Hello everyone! Adding another Bulova to the database. The case seems to be an ad match to Vivian. I am not sure about the dial, I cannot find a variant of Vivian with the diamond markers as this one has. The movement is dated 1952 (L2). The case back is dated 1960 (M0). So I am assuming this is another non-conforming. Looking forward to seeing what you all think! Thanks!

After looking at the shape of the sides on the case, I'm thinking it is a match for Miss America not Vivian. 03/21/2022

Yes you are correct, it is a Miss America "H"! Like this one https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1961-miss-america-9972 and it has a Carol dial/movement https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1951-carol-10846.  Vivian was an earlier model, here is one that the Vivian case so you can see one https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1951-academy-award-3696.  Not sure how we will ID this one.  The case is unique but the dial/movement is a decade away.  I am thinking Non-Conforming on this one.

Thank you Kathy! I was so curious as to which model the dial/movement originally belonged to! Now I know! As much as I love to have an actual model name to go with the watches, I agree that non-conforming is probably the best fit for this one.

Non-conforming for me as well. Miss America with a movement/dial replacement.

A 1952 movement in a 1960 case would indeed classify as a non-conforming watch. Bear in mind, that's just how we label watches of this nature here. In the real world it's still a Bulova watch :-)

I seem to be getting a lot of non-conforming/unknowns lately… it's okay, I still think they are great ha ha

I agree! I love the combo of the case/dial! I seem to be drawn to the non-conforming watches haha
