That's a 1959 SVP (Style-Value-Performance). There's an ad Bobbee put on here somewhere, but I haven't located it yet. Look over at Lisa's site in the forum under Bulova ads. The title will be-1960's Bulova SVP variants in men's and ladies.

Yeah, you're right Merc - Style Value Performance. I saw a watch float by in the Bay the other day that had that on the inside of the clam shell display case. The watch didn't match this one though.

On the other hand, it does bear a striking resemblance to this watch:
