Yeah, you're right Merc - Style Value Performance. I saw a watch float by in the Bay the other day that had that on the inside of the clam shell display case. The watch didn't match this one though.
On the other hand, it does bear a striking resemblance to this watch:

Merc is right, this is the SVP "vi" or "VI", roman numeral for 6.
