Watch Description

Here's another mystery watch. 14K white gold. I have been calling it a Bulova 23. I think it's a new one for the database.

Quite a handsome watch! The yellow gold version is the 'JW' variant as seen in this 1959 sales book, and it makes mention of being available in white:

The 1961 pricelist shows three other $150 Bulova 23 variants (DW, LW, and IAW), but I can only identify DW or model 31306, leaving two unknow that could be the variant for your watch.

Wow, very nice. I'd also say '23', unknown variant for now.

For the Bulova 23's, the price lists, Bruce Shawkey's NAWCC Journal article,  and other ads we have to date strongly suggest different gold colors had different variants- all the way out to three letter variants.

Joe, this is a wonderful watch, I love the coin edge bezel, very distinctive. Don't put your camera down yet, keep 'em coming!

Bulova 23, a real beauty!

I found the watch in the 1958-1959 Line book BAWD0136 as a 10KT.  I think this is a typo and should be 14KT since it lists the JW in white and we have an ad showing this to be a 14KT Gold watch.
