As with an example submitted by Andersok a decade ago, the case looks to be a base metal with plating, although mine shows a lot more wear through; the case back is stainless steel with no date code, inside is stamped RP Germany. White dial with radium hands, center sweep second hand in blue, 17 jewel manual-wind 6BMC Swiss movement dated L4. However, my example has applied markers and numerals on the dial. This seems to be a Mermaid but, which one?
I'm confused as to what the differences are between the Mermaid variants. The example Andersok posted shows applied markers and printed Arabic numerals. It was identified as an "A". Mine has both applied markers and Arabic numerals. I can't see the dial clearly enough to determine what the advert for the Mermaid "B" has. And, apparently, the Mermaid came in variants from A through F. I am at a loss as to what the differences are.
