Just picked this one up as a non-runner. Good balance and hairspring, so hopefully all it needs is a service. 3 diamonds on dial and a nice clean case with moderate wear on high points. Movement date code matches the case. Referenced ad is dated 1954.

1952 Bulova Sutton is a good match.   Only the second one we have seen in the database.

I guess so. Based on inflation, $72 in 1952 had the buying power of $731 in 2021. When this watch was sold new, the average yearly wage in the US was $2,973.
