This is identical to another watch I have. I thought it was a Watertite “P”. However, the 1950 Watertite “P” that’s in the database has a snap on case back and this has a screw on case back like the Watertite Duo Wind “E”. While the other Watertite Duo Wind “E” watches have Duo Wind on the dial and this says Selfwinding, we have seen other Duo Winds that are like that as well. Being both top cases are visually identical, the key difference is screw on case back vs the snap on case back.

Here’s my other watch.

Here are the watches I made reference to.

The line book doesn’t discuss the difference between the screw on case back and the snap on back. The first Watertite “P” added to the database has a snap on case back and this case is different. I don’t understand how different is the same.

1951 Bulova Watertite "P" based on the line book works for me.

Does the line book differentiate between the snap on case back and the screw on?

Note that 1 watch has 48 stamped on the inside back case and Automatic on the dial. The other 2 watches have 51 and Selfwinding on the dial.
