Sub second hand is in there it came off on the way home in my pocket. It will be going back for repair  next weekend no charge. Keeps great time was over hauled guess he didnt get the second hand set right

1951 Tuxedo ad.

Did the Tuxedo come in a non-engraved case also in 1951? I haven't found an ad showing one if they did.

I don't know about the non-engraved case.  Sure seems like Bulova would not have named this something other than Tuxeudo in 1951, but with Bulova, who knows.

Since the case is a 1951 and the movement is a 1949, could it be a "His Excellency" case with a movement and dial swap?

Well not excatly i couldnt get a good pic of movement so i kinda borrowed this shot it is a 8 ac Guess A9 means 49? I will pop the back and see

Movement is L1 I will try to get a pic now. OK  Sorry bout that fellas i think i got a shot you can see of the movement to show it to is a L1 Lower right corner you can see L1 best i can do right now. I need to work on my camera skills i guess.
