Welcome to mybulova! A nice solid gold (and well loved) heirloom from your grandmother. Thank you for sharing it with us. Case serial number should be 7 digits. I believe there is a "6" or perhaps a "5" in front of the serial number, which would date your watch as a 1945 or 1946. I am inclined to think it is a "6", I don't think the Her Excellency line was produced in 1945.
1946 Her Excellency "T"
Ad is dated 1947.

Here's a nice full color advert from 1947 showing your Bulova Her Excellency "T"
Despite the case serial number starting with a 6, the Excellent series did not comeout until 1947. So if it's a tru 1946 watch it may be something else.
However I'm happy with it being a 1947 Bulova Her Excellency "T"
