Bulova Friends -- Because I've plagued you recently with unidentified (and unidentifiable) non-conforming watches, I'm making amends with a watch that might be genuine (and might be a His Excellency model, as written on the dial.) But you'll have to tell me! I have no information to add supplementing the details in the photos, really. Renewed thanks and best wishes --
Michael

I believe this to be a
1949 His Excellency "BB"
1949 ad:

It appears it changed designation the following year (or late 1949) to "ZZ" in 1950

Well, if "BB" isn't in the pricelists, the ad is likely a misprint. I guess it is odd that ad would list models as "XX" (yellow) and "BB" (white). Natural progression would indeed be "ZZ"
It's interesting that we have database examples of AA, B, C, CC, D, DD etc. right though tha alphabet to ZZ but no "BB". Is there a pricelist reference to the existence of "BB" at a different price indicating perhaps solid gold? Seems unusual to skip a variant designation that early in the alphabet sequence.
No identified examples of either "BB" or "ZZ" in Db, so it appears this is a first.
His Excellency "ZZ" it is.
