Watch Description

Not really sure about the year. It looks like a 43 is stamped on the back. There are no identifying symbols on the back. The watch appears to have never been worn/used. We found it in a house that we bought about 15 years ago. R49235L is stamped on the back also (see pictures).

Nice watch, thanks for sharing. Please look closely at the back; there looks to be a 2 digit code for date to the right of the word "Bulova" a letter and number. Can you let us know what it is? I would guess the first digit is either an "M" or "N".

Thank you for your reply! I will try to have a closer look and pic when I get home this evening.

Definitely an N. Thanks!

Any idea what it is worth?

We aren't qualified to do appraisals, to many variables involved. OK, first digit is an "N", so watch dates in the 1970's decade. 2nd digit will be the year. If you can verify what it is, we can start the identification process for you.

It’s an N3 so 1973 according to the table.\

That's a good start! I changed the date of production for you and have begun the search. Nothing yet.....

Great, thanks. I was unable to identify the model from the pictures for the 1973s. A couple were close, but I didn’t see a good match.

Thank you for posting your watch.  It appears the hour markers are blue on a light gray dial.  Based on the 1973 Linebook this is a 1973 Bulova Concerto "DB".  This of course if the movement is 21J.  We will need this info to confirm the model.

I was just about to post the same linebook entry. Glad I refreshed the page to see if anyone had beat me to the punch.

Jim where does the 21J come into the ID?

1973 Bulova Concerto "DB" works for me.

Great detective work! Only difference I see is the band.
