Watch Description

Well... I gotta tell you, it takes a lot for me to get stumped.  I know most of these old dogs, especially around 1940,  but every once in awhile I can still come across something and I'm like... whaaaaaaat the heck is that?!  This watch is one for me.

I have no clue what this watch is.  We have one other in the database posted by FifthAvenue quite awhile ago.  How crazy is that, only two examples of this model in all this time?

Here's Fifth's database entry:  http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1940-unknown-3710

The case is stepped, has sweeping seconds hand.  Just a really unique little watch.  Pretty cool indeed.

Bulova marked case and movement.... this is all Bulova.

I don't even know. Where did this watch come from? I didn't remember ever seeing anything like  until I linked to Marks.....wow, it's cool

1940 Bulova Unknown......it needs a name....

Great watch; it's way ahead of it's time in style. It almost looks like "Art Deco meets the  1970's". Maybe that's why we've never seen one before. It was likely a "fashion flop" in 1940 and was quickly discontinued.

One of the most outstanding unknowns I've seen. Revolutionaly styling to be sure. It certainly does need a name.

1940 Unknown.

Yep, you have me stumped as well. Great center sweep watch. How's the size?

Would imagine some sort of medical model, similar to the Nurses watches we have been discussing lately. Looks more like a mans version.

That case design is very unique for trhe period and I agree typically we see this style from the 1970s.

Alas like Fifth's it's unknown, which is such a shame.
