Watch Description

Pretty rare bird.  Showing 1937 with the case and matching movement Date Code. Looks exactly like an early Minute Man with diamonds.. or what should have diamonds .. they are missing from this watch. The ad shows 21 Jewels, this is 17. "Set with 2 Diamonds"? The attached ad is from: "1937 Dec-12 WilkesBarre Sunday Independent"

Thank you for posting your watch.  I am inclined to believe this is a 1937 Bulova Minute Man with jeweler applied diamonds.  I do think the dial is a replacement though as the minute track does not match the shape of the bezel.  I love the engraving on the back.

Nice finding an ad that almost matches exactly.  Too bad someone took out the diamonds but still a great find.

Plains, I'm going Unknown, while the movement matches the year of the case, the jewel count and dial do not match the unnamed advert - 1937 Bulova Unknown. Wonder what they did with the diamonds- haha.

I'm of the same mindset as Geoff. Case is  a match to unnamed ad (that seems to be jeweler specific rather than Bulova) but dial and jewel count are not.

1937 Unknown or possibly non-conforming noting dial outer track doesn't match crystal opening. Sorry, man.
